Tar on the Boulevard Lecture

Thanks to everyone who came out to the lecture on Thursday! We had a great turnout of about 90 people. Doug Suisman discussed the history of the site of the La Brea Tar Pits in the context of Los Angeles and its boulevards, most notably Wilshire Blvd., what’s happening on the site today, as well as its future.

Thank you to the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits for hosting this event, and naming a signature cocktail after Doug’s book – the Los Angeles Boulevard. And a huge thank you to Christopher Hawthorne of the LA Times, who gave a wonderful introduction to the talk.
