Santa Monica Third Street Promenade Upgrades

Downtown Santa Monica Inc. commissioned Suisman Urban Design to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Downtown’s infrastructure.  The resulting study provided a complete inventory of existing assets and a strategy outline for enhancement of the area.  The downtown-wide strategy started with a pilot project at the northern end of the Promenade at Third and Wilshire whose elements included new directory signs and map cases, a wayfinding pylon marker, upgraded light poles, upgraded landscaping, and other streetscape elements.
